What was the best about my blog?

What did fools wear?

Entertainment with Fools

Fools. The source of entertainment. At every meal the fool would entertain the crowd by making jokes and acting like a .....fool. The jokes were funny then, but to us they would just be like a normal conversation. They were really boring and sometimes just rhymes. This job was really easy all you had to do was get people to laugh at your jokes. Then after the meal they got to eat the leftovers. The fool was a pretty low level job though. If the fool made fun of the wrong person, they went to the dungeon like anyone else. The difference was the fools never got a trial.
The easiest way they got someone to laugh was their clothes. They were really funny-looking with pointy shoes, weird hats, and crazy colored shirts.

How did Kings live?

A lovely life of comfort and luxury. Whatever you want right at your finger tips. Body guards all around you. Sitting on your throne dozing off while the bishop is going on about something about people protesting against the church...........wake up! This is no fairy tale. Kings had a very important role. They couldn't doze off. A real king had to listen to complaints and go to court every day.
If you don't like being out going and a hard worker you would be a horrible king. As a king the number one goal is to keep your people happy and healthy. When your people aren't happy or healthy, they become rebellious. That could tear your empire down from the inside out. Keep the people happy and healthy and that is the main goal of a king

How were Castles Designed?

Castles were designed to last. They were made with slit windows that made for smaller targets, but also allowed archerers to shoot out of them. A drawbridge is lowered over a moat that surrounds the castle. The moat is usually filled with water, or sharpened stakes. Pinnacles are stratigicly placed on top of the castle walls so archers could shoot people in the moat.

How was Growing Up for Knights in a Castle?

A knights life wasn't much easier than peasant life. It was filled with combat and military strategic training, sharpening weapons, ordering the weak around, and killing others on the battle field. Most knights lived on a manor or a castle, where they trained since they were seven years old. At a young age they wrestled, practiced with wooden swords, and rode horses.Eventually at age fifteen the young boy becomes a squire. As a squire he will be like a personal assistant to the knight. He will sharpen the knights sword and care for his horse and other companions. If he is lucky he will become a real knight at age twenty-one. As a knight he will participate in games such as jousting and duels, and fight to defend his castle. He will also live a rich life.

How was Life in a Castle?

In most castles it was a life of luxury. You have everything, water and food at your finger tips, a feeling of security, and even protection. Some castles had vaults that could store five years of food. Others were so big they could shelter a thousand people. But thats onlyinthe West.
In the East the castles were different. The castles here were mostly set up for war, seiges, and defence. These castles had large rooms for armor, weapons, and military meetings. Another important feature to the eastern castles are the passage ways; because they're completely covered to block arrows and other projectiles, but they are wide and tall enough for a horse and rider to gallop through.Even though ready for a siege, these castles were not comfortable luxurious living quarters.
